Object;- to ascertain if I am using the right site ;to see what interest there might be out there?
Writer, painter, raconteur and generalist; much of my life spent at sea in the Thames and Medway Estuaries; serving in the Merchant Navy, the Royal Marines, the Post Office; the Medway Ports Authority. I founded and edited Medport News and River News. After constructive redundancy I worked as bargemate on the acid barge Repertor and the ballast barge Roffen with Captain Alan Jenner, (“ immortalised” in fiction as one Alford Jeffsan. who tried to bombard the House of Commons from his barge)
My verse, often illustrated by paintings sometimes touches on the spiritual in the manner of my experience as a Quaker.
